Dead Dog on the Marshwalk now has a web cam. The cam at OD Pavilion was out for awhile but is now up and running. If you like shag dancing and beach music you'll find it there now

There used to be a webcam at the Sand Ocean Club Resort, as part of the WMBF Skycam network. It was very useful to us, because it was right down our street. But it's been gone for a while. Big disappointment
We looked at it every day to see if there were people walking on the beach, because the thing with the beach is that you never know how it feels. Sometimes it is nice and warm on our balcony, and when you end up on the beach, it is chilly. Sometimes, it is the opposite.
Looking to see if there were people there gave us a better idea of what to expect. How well... life at the beach is still great.

Was that at Ocean Annies? I talked with someone at WMBF - can't remember now who it was now, but there was some issue about them not renewing their contract. Dirty Don's own for awhile, so I had another reason to call WMBf, but they got in going again in short order.

While I have not 'checked in' on the forum since Sept., I have 'checked out' the cams. Sounds & sights of the beach while doing laundry, fixing dinner ... can make / break a day. The only thing missing is the smell of steaks grilling.

I watch the earthcam on a regular basis mainly in the morning. I'm up around 5AM but have to wait until 6 to watch because it's in black and white until then. Why is that?

It's 10:00 at night now and black/white. My husband explained to me that the camera goes into night vision and uses infrared LED lighting so the camera is able to "see" in the dark. Hope that helps!
