Amazing how none of the MB2 reviews have these issues ! :nanner:

Thanks for posting this! I like reading reviews but obviously take them with a grain of salt. The ENTITLED part was but favorite - I can spot them a mile away... like complaining about how you feel a hotel room "was a dump" - but you got a super awesome deal on it and it's a 3 star hotel... if you want 5 star, pay for it and go to a 5 star hotel people!!!

Thanks for posting this.

Last fall when I was doing research for a trip to GA I did use TripAdvisor for hotel reviews. It ended up being a real good tool. I narrowed down reviews by looking for fellow race fans who stayed there in previous years. If you can't trust your fellow fan, who can you trust? One place I wanted to stay, I ended up skipping because of their reviews. The place I ended up booking was cheaper and ended up being the best hotel on the entire trip and cheapest!

I always discount the first time reviewers. Figure they are just on there because they work at a rival, or have been recently fired from the place. If it's a person with multiple reviews, I always check what they say about other places. Some people are just very unhappy people, and they cannot be satisfied. I would hate to be so miserable that 98 percent of the places that I have stayed have been a bad experience. Some people just love to complain.

I found a few good ones while researching different places in North Myrtle Beach. One Condo had about 50 reviews and all the one stars had only one post!! All the others talking highly of the place. This reminds me of the Admiral Inn a few years ago. I think it was in the top ten places to stay in Myrtle Beach. The majority or all of the positive reviews had one post.

Thanks, Kirk...interesting and comical in a way. TA is so bi-polar it can be a head shaking experience sifting through the reviews. It doesn't quite have the volatile component of the Disboards, but nearly! MBMB is like visiting your grandma's house on Thanksgiving!

We have had our ups and downs here, and I can remember some real doozies. But I think we've only had to ban 3 or 4 people the entire time we've been here. TripAdvisor comes down to having a huge database of people. And a lot of them hide behind a cloak of anonymity so can say whatever they want. That won't happen here. :whip2: :beerchug:
