Hubby wanted me to ask of any mom and pop places. 20 some yrs ago when the girls were little we loved a place called Po folks and then a few yrs ago we loved the ghost ship but it’s a biker bar now. Any suggestions? We only have 82 days left to plan this lolol

They used to have an actual restaurant but it burned down. Now they operate out of a little building that looks a step above a roadside stand. One or two picnic tables. picture below:

They also set up as a vendor for event in MB and ALWAYS have a long waiting line.

This is truly a local favorite. Excellent BBQ, good prices. Ask a tourist and they will not know what you're talking about. Ask a local and they will tell you it's a must. Everything is served in disposable plates and containers.

Wow, that place looks great! My parents love BBQ. I'll have to put this on the list.
