Here's a great remake of an oldie classic.... not about the beach, but the beach-vibe is strong.

'Ole Glen had his 76th birthday yesterday! (my fave..."I am a lineman for the county...")

And to the topic, agree with the mention of Kenny Chesney's "Anything but Mine"...always makes me smile and want to go down to MB and play ski-ball!

Another one is Lloyd Price's "Stagger Lee" -- from watching the movie "Shag" over, and over, and over, and over again...

Patrish -

Just noticed your post about Glen Campbell's release - thanks ! "Ghost on the Canvas" blew me away as my father passed away from Alzheimers many years back. Geez..... need to get ready for work with tears in my eyes

Miss ya Dad !

One of my favorite videos.... perfect line: "you can find me where the music meets the ocean"

June, 2006, I40E headed for 17S2MBSC, moving faster than crossing country on I40W.

Sick husband out cold in the passenger seat, me determined to arrive at our destination quickly (& yes, safely) this song plays next on the CD. A full tank of gas, the smell of salt in the air, blue/black beautiful sky & a beat driving me on, a 6 ½ hr trip becomes a 4 ½ hr joy ride.

One happy husband who spends our 10th wedding anniversary on the sofa watching Clint Eastwood movies sipping chicken soup broth and hot tea.

Thank you Cinderella, Island Vista, Piggly Wiggly & Walgreens for a vacation I will always remember, fondly.

Last Mile by Cinderella
1998 PolyGram
(Also available on LP & Cassette!!)
