This event included a 20-mile horseback ride on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean.

"The funds raised support for research projects and educational programs to benefit the American Heart Association," said Sara Nelson, director of development at the American Heart Association. People across the nation come together to raise funds for this event and contribute to the American Heart Association goal: to improve cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20%, while reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20%

Over 1,225 riders from 22 states participated in this year's Jack Monroe Beach Ride
